| General Terms & Conditions Of Sale (Distance Selling)
Most parts sold by Bells Auto Spares Ltd. are auto-salvage and are sold as such. Every effort is made to give good value to our customers, but we cannot guarantee each part to be absolutely perfect and this is reflected in the prices when compared to the price of new parts.
All parts carry a warranty which operates by exchange only and is limited to the cost paid for the part. The warranty does not cover labour costs, consumables, carriage and/or consequential loss or losses. All parts must be fitted in a professional manner in order for the warranty to be valid.
We will always try to ensure supply of the exact part that the customer requires. Due to variations in make, model, design and year of manufacture, we cannot give any guarantee that all parts are correct or fit for the purpose required.
It will help if customers can supply a photograph of the part for comparison, but all sales are made on the strict understanding that the customer is responsible for making sure that parts bought are correct or fit for the purpose required.
In the event a part purchased is not correct for the particular vehicle, we will attempt to replace the part with the correct one, provided that within 48 hours, the part is returned or notification is given of the customers intention to return the part. Please note that we shall not be under any obligation to replace any parts returned to us under these circumstances or to give any refund in respect thereof and no refund will be given for the carriage charges incurred in sending the goods to the customer
If replacement goods cannot be found within a reasonable time then the full purchase price will be refunded. This will only happen if the goods are returned in the same condition as when the goods were supplied with the seller's security marks still visible thereon. The seller will not hold itself liable to reimburse the buyer for any installation charges no matter how they are incurred unless otherwise stated
There is a 15% handling/re-stocking charge for parts correctly supplied by us that are returned.
In the case of parts delivered via courier or post, this cost is non-refundable if the part was supplied correctly by us.
Exchange Units
If the goods are purchased on an exchange basis, the exchange unit must be returned in a reasonably clean condition, drained of all oil/fluids and securely tied to a pallet.
Notice - ECU's & Electrical Items
ECU's & electrical items are non refundable and non returnable as a result of potential damage caused by incorrect fitting of the parts/items or other faults in the vehicle to which they are fitted.
We strongly recommend that any and all safety critical parts/items are only fitted by automotive technicians specifically trained in such installation/fitting. No liability is accepted by Bells Auto Spares Ltd. for any malfunction, damage or injury caused by the fitting of any such components by unqualified persons.
Notice - Engines & Gearboxes
All engines are drained of oil before dispatch. As all engines are second-hand, we strongly advise the fitting of a new cam belt (where fitted), oil filter and fresh oil at the time of installation. Failure to do so may affect any warranty given.
We also advise the installation of a new clutch left on any engine or gearbox as these are not covered by any warranty
Warranty on engines and gearboxes excludes all gaskets, oil seals, cam and fan belts and any damage caused as a result of the failure of such items in entirity.
Any and all labour/extra labour costs incurred in the fitting/refitting of parts are to be met by the purchaser. DIY sales are non refundable.
